BUKWO, October 14, 2026 — Residents of Bukwo District are receiving practical training in Artificial Intelligence and robotics at Bukwo Town Council Hall, in an initiative aimed at equipping communities with digital skills for business, agriculture and innovation.

The ongoing training is being facilitated by Tim Abels, Chief Executive Officer of ACAID, and is being held courtesy of Phyllis Chemutai, the State Minister for Education.

The free AI Masterclass is designed to introduce participants to emerging technologies, with sessions focusing on robotics and Artificial Intelligence, the application of AI in farming, and the use of AI tools to improve business operations.

The programme is taking place in Bukwo today, October 14, before moving to Kapchorwa from October 15 to 16 at the Trinity Biblical Institute kirwoko.

Residents of neighbouring Kween District have also been encouraged to attend at least one day of the training in Kapchorwa to benefit from the practical learning opportunity.

Organisers say the initiative is intended to broaden access to digital knowledge and help participants understand how Artificial Intelligence can be applied to address everyday challenges and create new opportunities.

The training is open to everyone interested in acquiring practical AI skills.

The masterclass comes at a time when Artificial Intelligence is increasingly being adopted across various sectors, including education, agriculture, business and communication, creating a growing need for communities to understand and utilise the technology.
