A man from Chekwasta Sub-county, belonging to the Kamarui Clan, is demanding justice after his wife died following what he describes as neglect by health workers at Bukwo HC IV Mission Hospital.
According to the grieving husband, doctors and nurses successfully carried out an operation and then left the facility. Later, his wife developed a serious condition, but there was no one available to help her. He said she screamed in pain until she died, while the baby survived.

The family is calling on the relevant authorities to conduct an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the mother’s death and to hold anyone found responsible accountable. They also want measures put in place to improve maternal healthcare services and prevent similar tragedies from happening to other families.
Health officials have not yet issued an official statement regarding the allegations.
The case has sparked concern among residents, who are urging the government and health authorities to strengthen maternal health services and ensure that all expectant mothers receive timely and quality medical care.
