BUKWO DISTRICT:Primary Schools in Bukwo District are set to return to the Music, Dance and Drama stage this Fiday after a 7-year absence.

This was revealed during a planning meeting held at the District Inspector of Schools’ office on 4th August 2026. 

Closing the meeting, the District Inspector of Schools Mr. Kusuro Isaac thanked members for turning up and for their time and coordination.

He noted that by God’s grace, the district had been granted a waiver to go straight to the national competition after the district event, without participating in the Sebei regional competition. 

The District Sports Officer Mr. Kamos James said the district competition is scheduled for 7th August 2026 at Amanang Primary School. 

He revealed that six teams will take part, drawn from across the district: Two teams from Greater Chesower, including the defending champions, One team from Kabei , One team from Bukwo Subcounty, One team from Bukwo Town Council and One team from Suam Subcounty

Mr. Kamos added that the winning team will receive a trophy.

To ensure fairness, the competition will have three adjudicators one from the national level, one from Kween District, and one from Bukwo District. 

Four Zonal Coordinators were also selected to oversee mobilization from Chesower, Kabei, Bukwo, and Suam. 

He urged all team leaders to ensure participants arrive early on the day of the event.
