Kween District Advertises Four Categories of Jobs in New Recruitment Drive

Kween District Local Government has announced vacancies for four categories of jobs under the Kween District Service Commission External Job Advertisement No. 01/2026/2027.

According to the advertisement, applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill seven vacant positions across the departments of Trade and Industry, Administration and Education.

The advertised positions include:

  • Principal Commercial Officer – 1 vacancy, Salary Scale U2 Lower
  • Parish Chief – 1 vacancy, Salary Scale U5
  • Headteachers – 3 vacancies, Salary Scale U4
  • Education Assistants II – 2 vacancies, Salary Scale U7

The advertisement states that applications should be submitted in triplicate using PSC Form 3 (PSF 3 revised 2008) and ESC Form 3 to the Secretary, Kween District Service Commission, P.O. Box 250, Kapchorwa.

The application deadline is 23rd October 2026 at 5:00 p.m. East African Time.

Applicants are required to attach certified copies of their academic qualifications and certificates, National Identity Card, Curriculum Vitae, three recent passport-size photographs and a daytime telephone contact.

The District Service Commission has also issued a strong warning against corruption, emphasizing that recruitment into public service is a free service. Applicants are warned against giving money, promises or anything else to members of the commission, technical teams or other individuals in exchange for employment.

The Commission says anyone demanding a bribe should be reported to relevant government agencies, including the Inspectorate of Government, State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Police, the Resident District Commissioner’s office and the Ministry of Local Government.

The advertisement further warns that candidates found involved in corruption will be disqualified.
